About
We draw on research of historical clothing to develop ready-to-wear pieces for contemporary use. The lens moves from peasant dress to court garments, guided by two simple questions: what was worn, and what was desired. What’s fascinating about these fading structures is that although they lost their necessity overtime, they still carry traces of problems solved, habits refined, and social codes once made visible. Utility shows in fastening, support, layering, movement, and wear. Aesthetics is read in proportion and line, shaped by the techniques, tools, materials, and labor of its time. We translate that afterimage into modern form.

Our collections avoid spectacle and focus on emotions kept small or left unspoken, the kind that rarely demand attention yet linger. We approach these themes with a subtle dark humor, and let restraint guide the design. The urge to announce is held back in our cut and measure, so the clothes read as presence rather than proclamation, offering closeness instead of distance.

The same restraint extends to material and making. We work with artisanal fabrics and produce in small batches, staying close to the cloth and the process. Beyond hand, drape, and durability, we also source fabrics for how they change with wear. Keeping production small allows careful control of construction and finish, with fewer compromises along the way. Each piece is made for longevity, designed to wear well, age well, and become more personal over time.
